This will be our second members function since our Association was incorporated in April of this year. On May 14, forty people attended the Founders Club Meeting which inaugerated the Association with a Toast proposed by VCC's own Toastmaster, J.J. Denholm. The Alumni Association has enrolled 220 members since the membership campaign was kicked off in April. Our thanks to those of you who sent us the names of your alumni contacts. Your support is essential to our success. We would like to encourage faculty and staff to meet this enthusiastic group of individuals who represent our three campuses in the new Association. In 1981 the college moved to a new Outreach Model under which each of the divisions within the college operates its own outreach program as an extension of daytime programming. In this one day seminar, we will examine the outreach education system experience over the past 6 years. A variety of Grant MacEwan faculty and staff will address their role and experience with outreach education in an honest and open manner. We do not claim the expert role, nor do we have all the answers. We are willing, IMPACT OF OUTREACH ON; - college resources - instructional staffing - organizational structure actively developing their own outreach education program. Participants will examine the components of the outreach education system of Grant MacEwan. As well, time will be allowed for participants to share their own experiences and concerns and to examine some of the key questions about outreach education.
