VVINSIDER : VOLUME 4 : NUMBER 24 : AUGUST 15, 1986 A NEW SCHOLARSHIP The Pacific Area (Asia) Travel Association (PATA) has decided to give their first scholarship to the Junior Travel Agent Training Program at V.V.I. One of PATA's prime aims is to foster the development of educational and training programs to enhance tourism to and within the Pacific area countries. Accordingly, as a part of this effort to encourage interest and proficiency in the Pacific area, the PATA Executive, Western Canada, has established two, $250.00 perpetual scholarships to be awarded to the students who attain the highest academic standard in the Junior Travel Agent Training Program at V.V.I. The first award will be made at the end of the December 1986 course which is taught by Instructor Jack Hill.
