NEWS FROM DENTAL ASSISTING
Three cheers to Dottie Demosky for her excellent performance in the video
entitled "The Three Minute Workout".

This was produced as a promotion for Dental Health Month (April) by the
local Dental Associations!

IT'S A BOY!!
John Spencer (Machine Shop) and his wife Susan, as of Friday April 13th,
are the proud parents of a whopping baby boy I Peter Ryan weighed in at
nine pounds, 15 ounces and all John could say was "He's got dark brown
hair and all the parts are there!"
Congratulations John and Susan!

LEARNING SUPPORT CENTRE
The hours that the Learning Support Centre is open will be extended

commencing Tuesday, April 24th to the following:
Monday and Thursday 11:30 to 17:00 and 18:00 to 19:30
Friday 09:00 to 12:30 and 13:30 to 17:00
The tutors are available for assistance in Math and Science. Attendance
is on a drop in basis and is free of charge!

LIBRARY FILMS April 24 (11:45 in the Library Screening Room)

THE HEART OF THE CITY
Traces the development of the heart of the city and points out its
weaknesses, but suggests ways of improvement. Cites Rome as a city
destroyed by overexpansion and Amsterdam as an old city that has retained
human values through regulation of waterways and land.

COSMIC ZOOM
An animated film that uses a boy rowing down a river as a departure point
to take the viewer off our planet, through the solar system, and out
towards the farthest reaches of space. The camera then returns through

space to the boy in the boat and further within, to the smallest particle
within a blood cell in his hand. Excellent.

THE CRITIC
What we see is a short contemporary abstract art film. What we hear is
the constant complaint and sarcasm of an unseen member of the audience

(the voice of Mel Brooks, who created the film) as he watches the film
with us. This animation provides a focus on contemporary art and the
role of criticism.

I.D. 102 - THE ELEMENTS OF INSTRUCTION course will be taught on Tuesdays

the room is Classroom "G", CP Air, and the times are 17:30 to 20:30.
