yuletide season is here, New Year's is just around the corner, and
so winds down 1983. The VVInsider will not be published over the
Christmas instructional break, but there will be one special issue
which will be released early next week. Please forward any items
that you would li'ke to see published to Delphia Johnstone before
15:00 on Tuesday, December 20th, for inclusion in the final issue! I

Instructional Media Services is closed Saturday the 17th, but will

be open from 07:30 to 16:00, Monday the 19th through Friday the 23rd.
Please make prior arrangements if you require equipment service
after hours!
I.M.S. will be closed December 28 , 29, and 30, but if you require
service please feel free to contact the Langara I.M.S. at 324-5326.

C.E.I.C. would like to remind all instructors that it is important
to ensure that the Employer's Name is entered on all discontinuation

slips!
Also, students who are eligible for Trainee Travel Cheques are
reminded that they will have to pick them up next week from the
C.E.I.C. office! Normal hours of operation will be in effect,
except for the Placement Office which will be closing at noon on
Friday, December 23rd.

effect they will have on your waistline come 1984??
Why not enjoy yourself now - indulge to your heart's content - and
work off the results with the V.V.I. Aerobics Class which starts
again in January! The group meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from
12:10 to 12:50 each week -- and remember that the more people who
join, the less the cost per person!
You are invited to attend one session free of charge on Monday,
December 19th, so come get a head start on the havoc those Christmas

HOLLYWOOD NORTH
The V.V.I. Library will be featuring regular Thursday noon film
showings in its screening room, to begin on January 5th. Films will
He of a general entertainment nature, will start at 12:15 and will
run for thirty to forty minutes. Details of coming attractions will

be posted in the Library and on the Student Association bulletin
board in the courtyard. Admission is free to students and staff,

although the room will only hold 15 to 18 people on a first come
basis. Brown baggers are welcome!
Since there will be access to many thousands of free-loan titles
from all over the province, mini-festivals can be organized around
almost any subject or theme; check at the Information Desk to find
out what's available and to let the library know what interests you!

BUS FARE CARDS
JANUARY 1984 Bus Fare Cards will be available for purchase from
Tuesday, December 20th to Friday, December 23rd inclusive. They
will be sold through the Student Association Office for $28.00 each,
and office hours of the Association are posted on the office door.
