Too much sunshine and what about all that blue sky? Surprise! Surprise! Some things are inevitable, leaves are falling off of trees, the dreaded Canucks are up to their old low jinks and our annual drive for the United Way is here once again to relieve those autumnal doldrums before the rains set in. This year at the WI, we will present a truly UNITED front since our campaign strategy draws from all segments of the campus, faculty, staff, students and administrators. Please note that this time round there are a multitude of ways to make your contributions to the campaign. A variety of major and minor events have been scheduled to warm up your throwing arm, exhibit your fantasies, bust your diet and ruin your dental work. Of course, all planned to painlessly separate you from a few dollars that will go a long way to helping a large number of people through the United Way. In the bargain not only will you have fun but your contribution may make you a winner as well!!! Our goal for WI this year is a paltry $6,500 and our reward will be the fun we have as a campus going over the top for a worthwhile cause. See page 2 for a list of the planned events which will be ongoing from October 16 to November 20/1987. This edition not only contains VVI's blockbuster events but a few of the sensational happenings planned by our sister campus, Kind Edward located at 1155 East Broadway. Watch this space in the WI INSIDER each of the following weeks of the campaign for the names of the winners for the BARREL DRAW and the event scheduled for that week.
