Certain faculty/staff members have re-assigned their parking spaces to other employees during vacations or other leaves. The can not be done as Administration re-assigns these spaces in order to reduce parking costs. Only the Dean of Administrative and Student Services can assign parking spaces. Also ensure that your car(s) have valid parking sticker(s). JV LONG DISTANCE TELEPHONE CALLS The VVI Switchboard Operators will not process any personal long distance telephone calls, including calls that are to be charged to a home number. These calls not only take up the operator's time but they also tie up valuable outgoing lines. ASM VVI LIBRARY FILM SHOWING for Jan 12 (12:15 in the library screening room) THE HOMETOWN (5 min) A collection of tapestries designed and sewn on the spot by the film¬ maker illustrate the lyrics of a song about a young girl's hometown which happens to be Vancouver. Animation is created through a combination of sewing and cinematic techniques. This lively film was designed to promote interest in the art of tapestry. AND GOD CREATED GREAT WHALES (28 min) This documentary, much of it shot along the BC coast, shows that the mighty "killer whale" - long feared for its relentless viciousness has in fact been misunderstood.
