Voncouver Commonjfyr College CITY CENTRE City Centre Library 250 Wesf Pender Street SEP Vancouver, B.C. V63 i$9 SWAN SONG SERENADE YVUBU DHABI DOO!! This will be the last issue of Centricity that I will be writing The Title is compliments of DAVID TICKNER who wrote the following: as editor. In the final rounds of the 1990/91 budget, the College realized that if there was no longer a Principal at City Centre, then there probably wasn't much need for a Principal's secretary (me). Many of you know that my family and I are leaving for the United Arab Emirates at the beginning of August. I will be working for two years in Abu Dhabi with the Higher Colleges of Technology In the five years that I have been employed at City coordinating curriculum development and some instructor training activities. I want to take this Centre, I have met and worked with some outstanding people, not only at our campus but also at KEC and Langara. I believe that VCC's greatest resource is the people working for the college, people who are very knowledgeable in their fields, loyal to the College and their opportunity to say goodbye to those friends and colleagues I did not get a change to talk to personally before I left. See you later! And do drop by if you're ever in the neighbourhood. DAVID TICKNER colleagues and who have always been very willing to help me with advice, suggestions, assistance, and a sense of humour. I will definitely miss the daily contact with my associates! BABY ANNOUNCEMENTS I am also grateful to the College for having given me the opportunity to learn a variety of skills which I might not otherwise have had a chance to become familiar with and which, I am sure, will do DEPARTMENT MOREAH HAMEND gave birth to a 7-1/2 pound bouncy baby girl: Royann me in good stead in the future.
