»« SPECIAL EDITION»« United W^y of the lower mainland Once again as foggy mornings, crisp leaves and the dreaded Canucks appear on the horizion so does our annual drive for the United Way. This year at WI we will present a truely UNITED front since our campaign strategy draws from all segments of the campus, faculty, staff, students and administrators. Please note that this time round there are a multitude of ways to make your contributions to the campaign. A variety of major and minor events have been scheduled to wear down your dancing shoes, bust your diet, ruin your dental work and painlessly separate you from a few dollars that will go a long way to helping an large number of people through the Ihited Way. In the bargain not only will you have fun but your contribution may make you a winner as well!11 Our goal for WI this year is a paltry $6,000 and our reward will be the fun we have as a campus going ov§r _ the top for a worthwhile cause. See below for a list of the planned 'events which will be ongoing from Oct. 10 to Oct. 31/1986. This edition not only contains WI's blockbuster events but a few of the sensational happenings planned by our sister campus, King Edward located at 1155 E. Broadway. Watch this space in the WI Insider each of the following weeks of the campaign for the names of the winners of the Barrel draw and the event scheduled for that week. 1A '>f>" " ^!r) Vfr v/H,vVrw.-., Vw' n VMiluCsl INSTITUtr PANCAKE BREAKFAST lib.W This friday morning, October 10, is the date of the annual Pancake breakfast to support the United Way. Have you decided which administrator you would like working for you? Remember, the best way to ensure that you will have the administrator of your dreams (ha ha) is to pool your money with others in your department and bid together. This will also give the slave a lot more work having to service an entire department! V.V.I, and Langara are welcome to join in the bidding too so plan to attend the Auction on the 16th. It will be worth the trip!!!! With so much happening, how can you afford to stay away. Come on down — you'll have a lot laughs. Guaranteed!!!
