His watercolour of the 1945 demolition of the old Central School (the original building on this site) hangs by the WTs switchboard. In the same area a painting by Charles H. Scott, depicts the view from the Central School towards the area now occupied by the Queen Elizabeth Theatre (at the time occupied by a Baptist Church). The pastel drawings, which hang along the second floor mall, are by O.N. Fisher and show the various stages/ of demolition and construction which took place during the 1963 expansion of the VVI. VANCOUVER M.L.A.'S COME TO VCC TO LEARN Paul Sinnott of the Advertising and Public Relations Department wrote to say that on February 7, several members of the legislative Assembly came to VCC, at the invitation of the President and Chairman of the College Board. The purpose of this visit was to show the MLA's, at first hand, the effect of the funding restrictions that the College has been operating under, and to encourage them to support StanHagen, the Minister of Advanced Education and Job Training, before the Treasury Board.
