JW INSTITUTIONAL EVALUATION STEERING COMMITTEE As Chairman of the V.C.C. Institutional Evaluation Steering Committee, I would like to thank all those employees and students who took the time to respond to the "Institutional Self Study" questionnaire. We, on the Committee, needed to know what you considered to be the strengths, weaknesses, and the major issues in our College. You have given us your answer. You have shown us hundreds of different, but all important, issues! We will not be able to address them all in the Institutional Evaluation process. A number of issues are common across the College. Each such general issue will be addressed by a working group of which some of you will become members. Hopefully, by the FalJ of this year, we will see some recommendations for resolution of the issues from these working groups. All the issues not addressed in the above manner will be given to the normal management system to look at and resolve. Thank you once again for your support. H. W. Rerup, Chairman V.C.C. Institutional Evaluation Steering Committee COMPUTER MANAGED LEARNING C.M.L., or Computer Managed Learning, is making-inroads into post-secondary education and training. The VVI needs to examine all new educational and learning methods. Therefore, I would like to hear from all those instructors who have some knowledge, experience, and interest in looking at a C.M.L. system for the VVI. Please drop me a note about your involvement or interest in C.M.L. HWR MNCOUVER COMMUNITY COLLI Vancouver Vocational Institute DEPARTMENTAL CATERING (juite a number of years ago we established that one week's notice must be given by any department requiring catering services, however, lately we have been receiving telephoned requests for coffee etc. to be delivered with only a few hours' notice. We often find it most difficult under these circumstances to oblige the requesting departments because staff may not be available at such short notice as they would normally be busy on other assignments. I would appreciate it if any person requesting catering would make that request in writing, giving reasonable advance notice (preferably one week) and that the account to be charged is clearly specified. Thank you. BAW JOB OPPORTUNITIES Continuing Education, Career Start Youth Job Corps, requires an Employment Placement Coordinator (Part Time).
