The loans, which will apply to purchases of computer equipment and accessories after September 13, have a value of up to about $200 in interest saved. Employ¬ ees will repay the loans through payroll deductions at up to 12 equal payments beginning in the month following the loan. "The Purchasing Department has compiled a list of dealers that the college does business with and some have indicated they will provide discounts to VCC employees, but employees are free to make their own arrangements," said Jim Ho, Director of Financial Services. "Although the college will advance the money interest free for one year, it's just like getting a loan from the bank; the purchase transaction is between the em¬ ployee and the dealer. Any question of warranty or after sale service problems will have to be resolved between the buyer and seller." An application form for the loan is printed on the back. It should be for¬ warded to one of the following College Executive Committee members: WI Principal, Hans Rerup; KEC Principal, Lawrence Fast; Langara Principal, David Cane, Acting Director of Continuing Education, Gail Rochester; Bursar, Max Fleming; Director of College Resources, Ted Green of the VCC Music Department at KEC plans to take advantage of the interest free loan to purchase a computer for home use. Ross Carter; International Education Director, Tom Toulson. Employees will also be expected to fill out a payroll deduction form when they present their MNCOIIWi COMMUNITY COUSG€W^: receipt of purchase to Tosh Dcesaka, Accounting Supervisor.
