Tickets to the $100-a-plate benefit dinner were not only sold out for the first time, but they had been gobbled up weeks before the gala was held March 21, with over 30 on the waiting list This year's Notable Event Committee consisted of many high piofile members of business and was chaned by Raymond Smith, Chanman of the Board of MacMillan Bloedel. Musical enteitainment was provided by VCC's Music Department. The 370 guests heaid a big band tubute to Paul The Madrigal Singers struck the right notes for the Notable Event Whiteman, a piano and violin duet, VCC's vocal jazz ensemble "Soundwave" and the Madrigal Singeis.
