Seniors in Long-Term Care Homes (LTCHs) face oral health challenges, while non-oral health professionals lack effective oral care training and time for proper care. Dental hygienists (DHs) provide oral health assessments, preventive care, and treatments, and interprofessional collaboration with care staff will be beneficial. CDHA advocates for better policies, including oral health assessments in care standards. DHs should join CDHA, engage in advocacy, and help improve seniors' quality of life!
